New Development is underway in Sierra County. A new
Walmart will open April 2008 . This 104,000 s.f. Supercenter
has plans to employ approximately 200 people.
Hot Springs Motorplex Project: Speedway Entertainment Properties is the
developer of a 8,000 acre project for the sub-leasing to tenants to the area
around Truth or Consequences airport. This will provide various kinds of
pilot training opportunities, aircraft restoration, air cargo and NASCAR
West.
Turtleback Mountain Resort: A premier residential community and golf course.
The residential development features 1,250 homes located on 1,000 acres and
an 18 hole championship golf course. This community will offer a pedestrian
trail system, native landscaping and a formal entry to the community as well
as individual neighborhoods.
